Sitting on the banks of the Hooghly River in Howrah, this is the headquarters of the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission – and one of the most spiritually significant destinations in all of West Bengal. The architecture is stunning, the grounds are beautifully maintained, and the atmosphere carries a stillness that stays with you long after you’ve left.

The Bhog coupons are provided from the office back of the main Math. To buy the coupon you can give any amount on your will and on special days like January 1st or Vivekananda’s birthday, you can eat for free.

The Bhog includes dishes like khichuri, payesh, labda, and chatni, etc.

Belur Math Kolkata Overview:

The people who are not interested in religion also come to Belur Math to experience and appreciate the peace that it diffuses into the environment, and ultimately into the inner soul.            

The main gate of Belur Math conduct to the Ramkrishna Sarada Mandir. Swami breathed his last on 4thJuly, 1902 at this place. His memorial lies within the Math.

Also Belur Math has provided other things for example an art college, charitable dispensary and an industrial school. Tourists often spend about 3-4 hours here, but the experiences and sentiments felt here stay with them forever.

There are so many means of transport such as Bus, Taxi, & Own vehicle. The distance is approximately 9.2 km from Kolkata and is 6 km from Howrah. It will take you around 30 minutes to reach Belur Math, whichever mode of transport you use. The cheapest mode of transport is bus.
