Chandaneswar Temple, Digha Overview
Chandaneswar Temple is famous for a Shiva temple situated at a distance of 6-8 km from Digha. This temple is one of the holiest religioussites of Digha. Chandaneswar temple has mythology and folklore depicting itโs creation and history. This is fantastic place for lovers of Lord Shiva. The temple is a rather small one, but has a big compound. During the Odia month of Chaitra (mid-March to mid-April) this temple hosts a huge fair called Chadak Mela, which is attended a large number of tourist every year, It continues for 13 days. The temple host to a huge annual fair on the first day of the Odia calendar, is celebrated on the premises and sees an influx of a large number of tourists every year.
