The Indian Museum is the ninth oldest museum of the world and largest in India, the Indian Museum is located the city of joy โKolkata. The basis stone of the Indian Museum was placed down in the year 1814 and has been a centre of multidisciplinary activities ever since. Itโs another name is โJADUGHARโ.

Comprising the finest collection of contemporary paintings, sacred relies of Buddha, Egyptian Mummies and ancient sculptures. The Indian Museum also has some of the most exquisite collections of ornaments, antiques, fossils, armours, skeletons and stunning Mughal paintings.
The Museum has a library, where you can find a huge collection of over 50,000 books, rare publications, and journals. You can access this collection upon paying a nominal membership fee. Also, if you want to purchase souvenirs such as postcards, photographs, childrenโs books, art albums, etc. You will find them all in the Museum shops.
