Corbyn Cove beach is a favorite place not only for tourists but also for locals. Many people do not want to miss this beach when visiting Port Blair. The entire shore is lined by tall coconut trees which looks very beautiful when you stroll through them. Located just 17 kilometres east of Port Blair is Ross Island also known as Netaji Subhash Bose Island. This place was once the administrative headquarters of the British, but is now uninhabited. The British left the island after an earthquake in 1941.
This island once had a market, church, bakery, hospital, water treatment plant, and even a tennis court. Now, almost everything has disappeared, only a few ruins remain. The Indian Navy has rebuilt some of the old shops and bakeries for tourists, you can also buy from here. Going here is like going back in time!
