Howrah Bridge is a sizable steel Bridge constructed over the Hooghly River. It is consider to be among the longest cantilever bridge in the World. It links two cities both Kolkata and Howrah. In 1965, it was given another name called Rabindra Setu and this name kept in honour of the renowned Bengali poet Rabindranath Tagore. But today it is popularly known as the Howrah Bridge.
Howrah Bridge is spreads about 1500ft over the Hooghly River and is 71ft wide. There is a total of 4 lanes of strand road, bicycles, and pedestrian.
