- 30 rupees per person for visitors above 5 years of age on Saturday, Sunday & Government holidays

Alipore zoo is very famed for having been a home to several indigenous species of mammals, reptiles and birds, spanning over the past 140 years. However, the most popular once are the Bengal Tiger, White Tiger, African Lion, Giraffe, Zebra, Pelican, Giant Tortoise, Pheasant, etc. Aldabra giant Tortoise โAdwaitaโ was most famous of them is now expired, who lived for 250 years before dying in the year 2006.
The place is a must visit for nature enthusiasts, or for families with children, to explore the abundant and plentiful wildlife of the country as its best and also a separate Children’s zoo is present. The central water bodies inside the zoo grounds attracts migratory birds, one of the most popular tourist attractions in Kolkata, it draws huge crowds during December and January (winter season).
